Government College University Lahore is holding its 14th Convocation in the last week of February 2016. The convocation will last for three days, that is, ‘rehearsal’ of the convocation on Thursday 25th February followed by the Convocation on Friday and Saturday. Degrees will be awarded to M.Phil and Ph.D scholars on Friday 26th February; and to the students of BA/BS Honors and Masters program, the degrees will be awarded on 27th February. Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif, who himself is an old Ravian, is expected to grace the occasion.
Controller of Examinations Dr. Haroon Qadir has advised the students to abide by the instructions laid down by the university authorities. He has also directed all the students to confirm their participation in the convocation by 22nd February, 2016. Strict security measures are being taken to ensure the safety of the students and staff and the guests.
