Dua for Leaving the House

Whenever we went out from our house, we must recite dua for leaving the house. This dua has many benefits. Our Prophet Muhammad Sallala hu alaihi wassalam said that whoever recites this dua when leaving home it will be said to him:

1. You are guided,
2. You are defended,
3. You are protected,
4. The devil will go far away from you

So there are four duas of angels for the person who read this dua before leaving house. He/she will by guided. He/she will be defended. He/she will be protected and He/she will be protected from devil.

بِسمِ اللهِ، تَوَكَّلتُ عَلَى اللهِ، وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ اِلَّا بِاللهِ

Bismillah hi tawaqal tu a’lal lahi, wa laa haula wala quwwata illa billah.

Transalation:

(I begin) with the Name of Allah, I have placed my trust in Allah; there is no might and no power except by Allah.

This is a very strong dua which must be read by every Muslim before setting out for journey.

Before setting out for journey we should read dua before travel.  When we leave our home then we should read this dua before leaving home. Whenever we sit on a vehicle we should read “Dua for Vehicle”.  When the vehicle is ready to go, then we should read Dua for travel. And on the return we should read Dua for Return from travel.
