Dua Before Traveling

Whenever Nabi Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam makes intention for travel, he used to recite this dua. We should also recite this dua before traveling. This will be a great way to remember Allah before starting our journey.

اَللّٰھُمَّ بِکَ اَصُولُ وَبِکَ اَحُولُ وَبِکَ اَسِیرُ

Whenever we start our travel and sit on a vehicle, we should recite “Sawari ki Dua“. After that we should recite “Safar ki dua“.

Dua Before Traveling in English

We will read this dua before traveling in English as follows:

Allah huma bi ka asulu wa bi ka ahulu wa bi ka aseeru

Translation of Dua

O’ Allah (Ta’ala) I attack with your help, and proceed with your help and return with your help.

Dua Before Starting Journey in Urdu

اے اللہ! میں تیری ہی مدد سے (دشمن پر) حملہ کرتا ہوں، تیری ہی مدد سے حرکت کرتا ہوں اور تیری ہی مدد سے چلتا ہوں۔

Conclusion

This is a rawayat of Ali R.A from Masnad –e –Ahmad, (also in حصن حصین).  Whenever Nabi Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam go for journey and makes intention to go, Nabi (S.A.W) used to recite this dua. So we should also recite this dua whenever we decide to go for some journey.
