Dua for Traveling in Car / Plane in Arabic

Whenever we travel in car, bus, motor cycle, plane or any other vehicle,  we should recite dua for traveling in plane or car.  Our Nabi Sallalahu Alaihi Wassalam taught us dua for traveling in car or any conveyance.

One should recite dua before starting journey, when one makes intention of travel

While riding on a bus, car, or motor bike, or bording a train or plane, we should first recite bismillah

بِسمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ‎

When we sit on our bike or car we should first recite:

اَلحَمدُ ِللہِ

then recite following dua:

سُبحَانَ الذِیِ سَخَّرَ لَنَا هَذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لَهُ مُقْـرِنِين وَ اِنَّا اِلَی رَبِّنَا لَمُنـقَلِبُون    ( 43۔ سورۃ الزخرف ۔آیت نمبر 13،14)

After that we should recite Dua for traveling.

Dua for Traveling in Plane in English

While riding we should say:

“Bismillah Hir Rah maan nirr Raheem”

When we sit on car we should say

“Alhamdulillah”

then we should recite dua for traveling in vehicle

The pronunciation of dua for traveling in car in English is as follows:

“Subhan allazi Sakh khara lana Haza Wama Kunna Lahu Muqrineen. Wa Inna ila Rab bina La Munqalibun.”

(Surah 43 Zukhraf . Ayat# 13,14)

English Translation

all praise is for Allah Who has placed this (vehicle or transport)at our service. And we ourselves would not have been capable of that. And unto our lord we shall return.

Sawari Ki Dua in Urdu

پاک ہے وہ ذات جس نے اسے (سواری کو) ہمارے لئے مسخر کر دیا۔ اور ہم اس کی طاقت رکھنے والے نا تھے۔ اور بےشک ہم سب کو اسی کی طرف لوٹ کر جانا ہے۔

Conclusion

There shouldn’t be confusion about this dua. This infact is a “Dua for traveling in vehicle” or “Sawari ki Dua”.  This is not Dua for traveling or “safar ki dua”.
