Pakistan’s Education Emergency

Professor Dr. Atta ur Rehman (former chair of the Higher Education Commission) has called upon the government of Pakistan to declare an ‘Educational Emergency’.

Speaking at MUSTIVAL 2016, the conference of the Mirpur University of Science and Technology, the Professor called for this declaration in recognition of the importance of education to economic progress. He reiterated the particular need for science and technology education to be aligned with the modern ICT era.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Dr. Habib ur Rehman, took the opportunity to thank Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman for his excellent work in the field of higher education.
