Government of Pakistan Announced Hajj Policy 2018Minister of Religious Affairs, Government of Pakistan, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has announced Hajj Policy for the year 2018.  Selected Banks will start receiving Hajj applications from 15th January 2018.  The last date of applying for Hajj will be 24th of January 2018. The total charges are Rs.280,000 for North region and 270,000 for South regions. Ministry of Hajj did not change the rates this year for the convenience pilgrims. All the pilgrims also have to pay Rs.13,050 for the sacrifice of an animal. Total pilgrims this year will be 179,210. Out of this figure, 119,473 (67%) will go from Government scheme while 59,737 (33%) will go through private groups. 10,000 quota is announced for the senior citizens of the age of 80 and above. The balloting will be held on January 26, 2018.  Anyone who has already performed hajj from Government scheme cannot apply for Hajj from Government scheme again. He/She can apply for Hajj from private scheme only after 3 years.

According to hajj policy 2018, this year the Hajj package will be for 30 days instead of 38 days. Now it is compulsory for all the women applying for Hajj should have sharia mahram with her. The passport of the applicant must have validity up to February 20, 2018.  All the hujjaj will be provided 5 litr Zam Zam on their return to Pakistan on the airport.

The selective branches of following 13 banks will receive the hajj applications from January 14, 2018.
