Dua for Traveling

Here is detailed Dua for Traveling.  Every person who is going for a travel must recite this dua.

Some people confuse this dua with Dua for traveling in car.  This is a detailed dua of Nabi Sallalla hu Alaihi Wassallam which is called Dua for traveling.  This is the one which is called “Safar ki Dua” or “Dua for Travelling”.  Often we call “Sawari ki Dua” as “Safar ki dua”, which is wrong.

1۔  سُبْحَانكَ اِنِّيْ ظَلَمْتُ نَفْسِيْ فَاغْفِرْلِيْ فَاِنَّهُ لاَ يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوْبَ اِلاَّ اَنتَ

2۔  اَلَّلهُمَّ اِنَّا نَسئَلُکَ فِیْ سَفَرِناَ هَذَا البِرَّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ومِنَ العَمَلِ ماَ تَرْضَى۔

اَلَّلهُمَّ هَوِّنْ عَلَيْناَ سَفَرَناَ هَذَا وَاطْوِعَنَّا بُعْدَهُ۔

الَلَّهُمَّ أَنتَ الصَّاحِبُ فِيْ السَّفَرِ والخَلِيفَةُ في الأَهْلِ۔

الّلهُمَّ إنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ وَعْثاءِ السَّفَرِ وكَآبَةِ المَنْظَرِ وسُوْءِ المُنْقَلَبِ في المَالِ والأَهْلِ

Dua for Traveling in English

Here is Dua for traveling in English:

1. Subana ka Inni zalamtu nafsi, faghfirli, fa inna hu la yaghfir uz zunuba illa anta.
2. Allah humma Inna nas aluka fi safa ri na hazal birra wat taqwa wa minal amali ma tarza.

Allah humma hav win Alaina safarana haza watwi anna bowdah.

Allah humma Antas Sahibu fis safa ri wal khalifa tu fil ahli.

Allah humma inni auzu bi ka miwn wa saais safari wa ka’aba til manzari was suuil munaqalabi filmali wal ahli.

Dua for Traveling – Translation

1. All Praise to Allah, No doubt, I was the one who was wrong,  (Please) forgive me, No doubt, There is no one but You, who can forgive my sins.
2. O Allah, in our this journey, we ask You for goodness and piety, and for deeds which please You.

O Allah, facilitate our journey for us and make its distance quickly.

O Allah, You are The Companion (of us) on the journey and The guardian over the family,

O Allah, I take refuge with You from the hardships  of this travel, and from the wicked sights, and from any misfortune with wealth and family  upon return.’

Safar ki Dua ya Dua e Safer in Urdu

If you understand Urdu languge, here is this dua for traveling in Urdu.

سفر کی دعا یا دعائے سفر۔

1۔  پاک ہے تو ۔  بیشک میں نے اپنے اوپر (بہت) ظلم کیا ہے(تیری نافرمانی کے ساتھ)۔ پس تو مجھے معاف کردے۔ بےشک تیرے سوا اور کوئی گنا ہ نہیں بخش سکتا۔

2۔  اے اللہ ہم تجھ سے سوال کرتے ہیں اس سفرمیں نیکی  ، پرہیز گاری اور ایسے عمل کا جسے تو پسند کرتا ہے۔

اے اللہ تو ہمارا یہ سفر ہم پر آسان کردے اور اس کی مسافت کو طے کردے۔

اے اللہ تو ہی سفر میں( ہمارا) رفیق اور گھربار میں (ہمارا) قائم مقام ہے۔

اے اللہ میں پناہ مانگتا/مانگتی ہوں تجھ سے سفر کی سختیوں سے۔ اور سفر میں (ہونے والے کسی) تکلیف دہ منظر سے۔ اور مال اور اہل میں تکلیف دہ واپسی میں۔
