Vice-Chancellor Dr Shahid Siddiqui has recently announced an expansion of Allama Iqbal Open University’s scholarship program, allocating over Rs100 million to offer fee concessions and course subsidies to disadvantaged students.
Scholarship recipients are selected on merit, with an intention to promote competition and inspiration between applicants. The program is open to new students, as well as existing students who have received grades of over 75 percent in their latest results.
The program is composed of nine separate streams, including:
- The Outreach Scholarship Scheme
- The final year project grant scheme
- Scholarships for women
- Earn to learn
- Scholarships for communities
- The fee installment scheme
- Alumni/sponsored scholarships
The University will also continue to deliver financial aid to students to enable them to complete their studies.
The University’s primary motivation is to ensure that no student is prohibited from attaining a higher education due to an inability to pay the associated fees
