Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam is the last prophet of Allah subhana hu wa ta’ala. He was born in Makkah, a city of Saudi Arabia in the month of Rabi-ul-Awwal. There are different opinions (akwaal) about the exact date of his birth. Somes says it is 8th Rabi ul Awwal, other says, 12th Rabi ul Awwal. Some other opinions about 2nd Rabi ul Awwal, 15th Rabi-ulawwal, 9th Rabi-ul-awwal and more. But the day is confirmed. It was a bright morning of Monday. According to Gregorian Calendar, the year of birth was either 569 CE, 570 CE or 571 CE.

If we talk about the family of Prophet Muhammad SAW, there are 11 wives of Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu alaihi wasallam. All the wives of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) are umhaat-ul-momineen (mothers of all the Muslims). It is disputed that two slaves of Nabi SAW Hazrat Maria Qibtia Razi Allah Anha and Hazrat Rehana Razi Allah Anha were her wife or not.



His first wife was Hazrat Khadija bint Khuwaylid Razi Allah Tala Anha. Nabi Sallallahu alaihi wasallam got married with Hazrat Khadija (R.A) in the age of 25.   1. It says that the prophet Muhammad(sws), had 11 wives but then on the bullet points it comes up with 13, so I’m a bit confused, btw this question might seem a bit dumb but I really would like to know.

    • It is disputed that two slaves of Nabi SAW Hazrat Maria Qibtia Razi Allah Anha and Hazrat Rehana Razi Allah Anha were her wife or not.

    • It was mentioned clearly that he has 11 wives and 2 unconfirmed wives(said to be slaves). So the number is 13.
