Doors of Jannah

It is mentioned in Holy Quran that there are doors of Jannah but the number of doors in jannah is not mentioned in Holy Quran.

And those who kept their duty to their Lord will be led to Paradise in groups, till, when they reach it, and its gates will be opened (before their arrival for their reception) and its keepers will say: Salamun ‘Alaikum (peace be upon you)! You have done well, so enter here to abide therein.”

اور جو لوگ اپنے رب سے ڈرتے تھے وہ گروہ گروہ ہو کر جنت کی طرف روانہ ہوں گے۔ یہاں تک کہ جب اس کے پاس پہنچیں گے اور اس کے دروازے( پہلے سے کھلے پایئں گے)

Adan Paradise, whose doors will be open for them

ہمیشہ رہنے کے باغات ہیں جن کے دروازے ان کے لئے کھلے ہوں گے۔

The explanation about the number of doors is mentioned in ahadees.  All the doors of Jannah are special for different people having different qualities.

8 doors of Jannah

According to different ahadees, there are 8 doors of Jannah. One interesting thing to note is that there are 8 gates of Jannah and 7 gates of Jahannam. More gates of Jannah as compare to Jahannam indicates that the blessing ofAllah (SWT) is greater than His punishment.

Following is the list of 8 gates of Jannah.

1. Bab ul Mussalleen
2. Bab us Saemeen
3. Bab us Sadiqeen
4. Bab ul Mutasadiqeen
5. Bab ul Qaniteen – Bab ul Khashiyeen
6. Bab uz Zakireen
7. Bab us Sabireen
8. Bab ul Mutawaqileen
